Googlies: Sometime round, painted, glass, tin, or celulloid, when they move to side are called flirty eyes. Popular 1900/1925, most doll manufacturers made dolls with googly eyes, like: Heubach, K*R, Armand Marseille, Barh & Proschild, Demacol, Max Handwerk, Hertel Schwab, Kestner, Kley & Hahn, Limbanch, S.F.B.J., Hermann Stainer, Strobel & Wilkin, Walter & Sohn, and lots of all bisque unmarked with series numbers from unidentified companies. The quality of this group varies greatly. With painted eyes they could be painted looking to side or straight ahead, with inserted eyes, the same head can be found with or without flirty eyes.
